06/21/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Kurtis is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Kurtis shows fluid footwork and is very agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to remain accurate and carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride to the ball. He is smooth getting into his load and comes through the zone with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. On the mound, Kurtis has a quiet, balanced delivery and repeats well. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 73mph with good arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 54-55mph with 10-4 break. Overall, Kurtis is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further develop his skills.
