10/13/2013 - College PREP - Abilene, TX Kyle is a lanky 1B/RHP that will graduate in 2016. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. He works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. Defensive grades will continue to improve as he works to present glove more out front and earlier. Throws are accurate, but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Brauneck shows a balanced approach. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through an aggressive approach. For grades to continue to improve, he needs to improve bat speed and get stride foot down sooner. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to load more and use his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 68-72 mph. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength and throws more strikes. With 3 years to further develop, Kyle has abilities with time and room to improve.
