Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

11/19/2017 - College PREP - Pearland (Houston), TX Kyle is a big, strong prospect at 60, 200lbs who looks like and has the actions of a true ballplayer. He has a big arm, getting up to 84mph raw velocity and shows it off throwing from the outfield and on the mound. He is athletic in the field with active feet that work well to the ball bag and his lateral agility allows him to make tough plays. He has clean hands to field and funnel everything to center and exchanges to throw quickly with carry to his target. On the bump, he shows a two-pitch mix including a mid 70s fastball and 10-4 curve. He pitches with a high 3/4 delivery and shows a long stride and extended release to make the ball jump on hitters and have his stuff play up. Staying directional to the plate will result in more consistent action and better control. At the plate, he shows a middle approach with centered balance to stay on any pitch. He gets on plane early and has loose, quick wrists to whip the bat through the zone and make line drive contact. Kyle is a projectable player with lots of potential on the field.

11/20/2016 - College PREP - Houston, TX Kyle is an athletic R/R (5'11"/195) OF who has a solid skill-set. With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced/open setup. He gets loaded, whips the barrel and connects with strength (exit velocity = 84 mph). In the OF, Bullard hustles to his right and left and works into position behind the fly-ball. He secures the ball and plays through it well, working in-line toward his target. Throws are strong/accurate with carry. Only a 2019 grad - Kyle has skills with a ton of upside and will be one to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
