11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS) Kyle is a 2024 C who showcased his skills during the Fall Prospects Tournament. Behind the dish, he does a good job of replacing his feet and works with good direction towards second base. Presents a good target and tracks pitches well with strong hands. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 77mph and a best pop time of 2.5 seconds. He gets rid of the ball and his throws were on the bag. Showed ability to get down quick on his blocks and has a soft chest. At the plate, he hits from a tall and square stance. Has good balance to his setup and takes a short glide step. He hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph during BP. In live game action, he showed good plate discipline and reached multiple times. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Kyle having a bright future on the baseball field.

03/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Kyle is a 2024 C/2B. Medium frame athletic build and plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary catcher, easy sit with good actions behind the plate and quiet movements. Good direction towards second base. Soft hands who works thumb under keeping balls in the zone. Tracks pitches well and tucks chin on balls in dirt. Showed good lateral movement while creating blocking angles. Secondary 2B, with efficient footwork while trying to create good angles. Ability to pick out hops into a low funnel with clean transfer. Gathers nicely and works towards target with accurate/online throws. Arm velocity of 73mph. Right-handed hitter hits from an upright and closed stance. Head/eyes stay level as he tracks pitches. Linear bat path with good extension through the zone. Recorded a bat exit velocity of 76mph as he hit balls into both gaps during BP. 4 years of continued growth and development will bode well for his opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
