06/23/2020 - All-In Membership - Frederick, MD Kyle is an athletic SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Kyle shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Taking less steps to throw can help Kyle improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. He drives through well with his lower half and takes a level swing, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Kyle can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, Kyle is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

03/08/2020 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Kyle continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball tools. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.07. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short direct swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He throws from multiple arm angles with accuracy and on line (81 mph velocity) carry across the diamond.

03/17/2019 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Kyle continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the MIF, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds /turn of the double play. In the OF, he continues to shine. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Kyle has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

In the field, Kyle shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields with firm hands. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws consistent to his target. Kyle can improve defensively by quickening his exchange to throw. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He leads well with his lower half and takes a level swing to the ball, producing solid contact. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
