12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Kyle continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He work to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph exit velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 75-76 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action. Building more arm strength through a long toss program will aid in improving stock on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

11/04/2020 - Texas Fall Classic Kyle is a tall, athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.15. In the OF, he takes good first steps in reading balls off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line zip (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate he continues shine through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 73-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
