01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kyle is a very athletic built catcher with a 5'10/175 lbs frame. Defensively, the 2020 grad sat low with good flexibility, and received with soft hands. His body stayed connected to receive, exchange & throw, flashing pops in the 1.94 - 2.05 range. At the plate, he had a square setup and a smooth move to hit. He was compact with his barrel delivery and worked level through the zone for line-drive contact. In all - Kyle is an intriguing sophomore that has 2.5 years of high school to continue building and improving for the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
