08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Kyle is a lean SS/RHP that will graduate in 2017. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 7.25 60 time. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He makes consistent contact, as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. At the event, he was 2 for 7. In the MIF, he moves well laterally, flashing range and displays aggressive feet that attack the baseball. Hands are soft / sure but needs to present more out front to improve defensive grade. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 75-77 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with big gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to grow as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable with a great attitude. With 2 years to further develop, Kyle has abilities with time and room to improve.
