01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Kyle is an athletic OF prospect with present strength and solid tools across the board. His strong hands and wrists allow him to handle the bat with ease generating a short, quick swing. The ball comes off the bat with authority to all fields. An adjustment to his starting hand position could unlock his immense potential at the plate. As a defender Kyle glides to the ball in the outfield and uses his speed and instincts to cover a lot of ground. He possesses a strong and accurate arm as well, allowing him to play all three OF spots. Kyle can even jump on the mound to get outs. His low 80s fastball and curve with good bite provide two pitches that can be effective out of the bullpen. Overall Kyle's skill set is perfectly fit for him to be an impact bat and outfielder at the next level.

07/13/2012 - 2012 Team One South Showcase Kyle showed well both offensively and defensively during his time at Team One South. He showed quick hands, a smooth load, and pull side pop in his bat. Kyle makes solid contact and the ball jumps off his bat when centered. In the OF, Kyle has good range, solid lateral movements, and he makes plays consistently. He has life and carry to his target with accuracy.

05/06/2012 - Interactive Video Program - Atlanta, GA Kyle is a thick, solid, athletic OF with very good skills. Defensively, Kyle has quick / active feet, sure hands, and he takes good angles to the ball. He has athletic actions, fields in a low / athletic position, and his exchange is clean. Kyle has a loose / quick arm action, and he throws with life, carry, and accuracy to his target. At the plate, Kyle has a solid set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He has quick hands, fast bat speed, and he makes hard contact. Kyle has pop in his bat, he can spray to all fields, and he uses his lower 1/2 well. Kyle is a talented young player and can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
