10/05/2022 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2025) Kyle is a switch hitting 1B/LHP in the 2025 class. Scouts feel he has the coachability, work ethic and skill set to play at the next level. On the mound, he can control the zone with his two pitches. He likes to work down in the zone and challenge hitters to put the ball in play with off-balance swings. His FB sat 73-9 and his CH sat 62-69. Threw close to 60 pitches at the AZ Fall Classic and only gave up 5 singles in 5 innings of work with zero BB’s. At the plate, he has athletic looking stances from both sides and uses a short stride. Has smooth timing and stays centered in his balance. Produces pull side power from both sides and has low 80’s exit velos. Staying sideways to the plate and letting his hands travel through the zone will allow more full field production. In the field, he has the ability to become a solid 1st baseman. Has the size (6ft one/210) frame and wingspan to be a positive defender for his defenders. With more repetitions in practice and game play, he can become an elite defender. Overall, Klye will attract attention of college coaches with his size, abilities and make-up.
