10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Kyle continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond at the Arizona Easton Fall Classic. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. He is smooth getting into his load and comes through the zone well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing to the ball which leads to hard contact. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 7 with an RBI and 2 BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/10/2023 - National Showcase - Chandler (Phoenix), AZ Kyle is a LHP who will graduate high school in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. On the mound he has a projectable frame and long levers. He works exclusively from the stretch and works with good tempo. Has clean actions with ability to repeat to his delivery. Attacks hitters with a FB that sits 70-73mph with some movement. He mixes in a 2/8 shaped breaking ball, a splitter with some downward action, and slider from same window as CB. At the plate he starts with an athletic and square stance. Gets his hands separated and shows natural juice in his swing. He hit hard line drives consistently to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 89mph during his round of BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Kyle having opportunities to play at the next level.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Kyle continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American event. On the mound, delivery is sound, repeatable, allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 77-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, so a feel for pitch with sinking action. Off speed stuff show as outstanding pitches that will get outs. Control is excellent as he attacks hitters and throws strikes withal his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are firm but needs to present more out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot ground.

10/05/2022 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2025) Kyle is a switch hitting 1B/LHP in the 2025 class. Scouts feel he has the coachability, work ethic and skill set to play at the next level. On the mound, he can control the zone with his two pitches. He likes to work down in the zone and challenge hitters to put the ball in play with off-balance swings. His FB sat 73-9 and his CH sat 62-69. Threw close to 60 pitches at the AZ Fall Classic and only gave up 5 singles in 5 innings of work with zero BB’s. At the plate, he has athletic looking stances from both sides and uses a short stride. Has smooth timing and stays centered in his balance. Produces pull side power from both sides and has low 80’s exit velos. Staying sideways to the plate and letting his hands travel through the zone will allow more full field production. In the field, he has the ability to become a solid 1st baseman. Has the size (6ft one/210) frame and wingspan to be a positive defender for his defenders. With more repetitions in practice and game play, he can become an elite defender. Overall, Klye will attract attention of college coaches with his size, abilities and make-up.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
