01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kyle is a long and lean framed two way player in the 2020 grad class. On the mound, He mixes in 3 pitches which he commands well. Fastball sits in the mid 80s (84-86mph) and jumps on hitters. Mixes in an 11-5 Curveball ranging from 68-73 mph with good breaking action. Completes his arsenal with a 74-78mph Changeup that he throws with his FB arm speed to deceive hitters and keep them off balance. Struck out 4 hitters over 3 IP at the event. Defensively, he stays ready and relaxed at 3B, stays athletic when approaching ground balls, creates good angles and delivers crisp throws across the diamond. At the plate, has a squared stance and keeps his stride and load short and simple to create good rhythm. Has a quick bat and plus barrel control, will continue to drive the baseball consistently.

11/04/2018 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Kyle worked out at 3B and on the mound during his last workout with The Factory. Defensively, Kyle has smooth actions, quick feet, and he fields in a square position. He looks the ball in, plays through well, and throws with accuracy and carry to his target. Lighter feet and playing more through can help defense get even better. On the mound, Kyle has good balance, he separates on time, and he works in good tempo. He gets good extension on his pitches, lands in a square position, and he throws strikes. Kyle touched 86 MPH during his workout. If Kyle can improve off-speed and glove side lead, mound effectiveness will continue to improve. Offensively, Kyle has a tall set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a short/direct barrel, makes hard/consistent contact, and he hits hard to the pull side. Kyle is a nice 2-way prospect.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Kyle is a strong and athletic 2020 RHP/1B prospect. At 1B, Kyle has active pre pitch movement, and has good footwork coming off the bag. Continuing to present a low/early glove, working from the ground up, and fielding the ball in front of his body will allow him to make the routine play more consistently. At the plate, Kyle has a quiet and tall stance. He stays balanced through contact and uses his lower half. Loading his hands into the launch position and getting his front foot down early will allow him to recognize pitches. Attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. On the bump, Kyle gathers over the rubber, and repeats his delivery. He uses his lower half and has a strong glove side. Developing his secondary pitches will take his game to the next level. Kyle is a student of the game and shows good energy on the field. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future

11/05/2017 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Kyle is a massive, physically imposing two-way player who is slightly more advanced as a first baseman. He shows off a cannon for an arm at first (87mph) with the ability to turn double plays with ease and make good feeds to the bag. He has active feet at first, working well around the bag and moving laterally to make plays with extended range. He fields low and square to the ball with presented hands to keep everything in front and make very strong throws. At the dish, he shows a quiet setup with a still head and he lets the ball travel deep in the zone. He keeps his hands inside and uses all fields to make consistent contact and spray base hits. On the bump, this big right hander has easy, repeatable mechanics with good tempo down the mound to jump at hitters. He features a fastball up to 78mph with run, a 10-4 curveball and a changeup with arm side run. Loosening up his arm swing will result in more velocity and movement. Kyle is an impressive prospect who has a high ceiling on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
