12/27/2011 - Under Armour Recruiting Classic - 2011 Slusser is a tall and broad-shouldered right-handed pitcher who spends some time at first as well. On the mound, he has a long arm action, good balance point, and he stays around the zone. His abilities on the mound should continue to develop as he learns to create some consistent leg drive to his target. In the infield, he is aggressive to the ball and has an accurate arm, but needs to work on playing through the baseball. At the plate, he creates good hip action and displayed solid power to the pull side, but needs to reduce his head movement throughout his swing. With two more years of high school baseball remaining Slusser has the opportunity to continue to develop his skills in preparation for the next level.
