Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/RHPPosition Projection

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Kyle is a tall and long 1B/RHP with a projectable body type. In the field, he has an athletic set-up. He squares up to the baseball and the sticks to his glove. He is a plus target for his defenders and show bag awareness. Working to sink his hips more will let him work under the baseball and utilize his legs on his throws. On the mound, he shows good poise and battles. Shows confidence from pitch to pitch and is able to repeat his delivery. His FB was in the zone at 76-80. His CB sat 67-70 with 11-5 shape and medium break. At the plate, he begins in a squared set-up and is compact in his swing. Takes a direct route to the baseball and shows the ability to use the whole field. Working on his timing will be a key area as he sees higher level pitching. Overall, Kyle can make an addition to the right college program.

10/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - El Paso, TX Kyle is a RHP who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame lean build with strength present. A right-handed pitcher, has long levers and a projectible frame. He shows good rhythm to his delivery with good direction to towards the plate. Easy delivery with ability to repeat it. Throws from an over-the-top arm slot and gets chest to glove. Throws a FB that was up to 79mph with arm side run and plus command. He mixes in a 12/6 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with good downward action that he throws with FB arm speed. FB was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, he hits from an upright and closed stance. He hits into a firm frontside and has a high finish. During his round of BP, he sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph. With another year of growth and development, we foresee Kyle having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
