01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kyle is a skilled/athletic middle infielder who can make things happen in a variety of ways when he steps onto the diamond. Defensively, he has quick/active footwork making the plays to his right and left look easy. Actions are smooth as he is quick glove to hand while getting the ball out and across the diamond efficiently and accurately. At the plate, this righty maintains a balanced setup with a solid base. Hands are quick whipping the barrel to and through the zone, connecting with pop, hitting hard line-drives to all parts of the field. This talented SS prospect has the tools to make an immediate impact at the next level.

07/25/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Kyle is a talented SS who plays the game hard. He has plus defensive abilities, soft hands, smooth actions, and a quick 1st step to the ball. He presents his glove well, fields cleanly, and throws with strength and accuracy across the diamond. On the mound, Kyle competes in the zone, his CB shows good tilt, and he fields his position well. Offensively, Kyle has an open/athletic stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He makes hard/consistent contact and flashes pop in his bat.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kyle continues to impress as a nice two way prospect in the 2019 grad class. This SS/RHP is advanced and makes an impact in all areas of his game. A special defensive player, this SS plays athletically, has incredible hands and makes eye opening plays. Super smooth through the fielding process and range that already looks to be high college level. At the plate, he keeps his swing short and compact, uses his lower half to sting line drives to all fields. A lead off type hitter will get on base consistently and set the table for the rest of a lineup. On the mound, Kyle has a nice compact and repeatable delivery. As a good feel for pitching and mixes speeds and locations very well. Mixes in 3 pitches, a Fastball last sits in the low 80s a Curveball with good, late break and a Changeup with sinking action that gets hitter way out on their front side to induce bad contact. Has a good feel for mixing his pitches and getting hitters out. We cannot say enough good things about Kyle and his future potential.

10/18/2017 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Kyle continues to show the makings of a special type player at the next level. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in his lateral movements, displaying range in the MIF and attacks balls playing through well while presenting hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Throws are accurate with on line carry and he works to get rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-78 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains good composure and competes on the bump. Stock on the mound will continue to improve when he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and is very coachable as he works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/19/2017 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Kyle is a talented SS/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2019. As a right-handed hitter, Kyle has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and short stride as his lower half leads his swing. Kyle shows fast bat speed with a short, direct swing path producing consistent contact. He is a line drive type hitter who has a middle of the field approach. In the field, Kyle plays with quick, fluid footwork and agile actions. He presents his glove and fields the ball athletically with soft hands. Kyle has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing consistently strong throws across the diamond. On the mound, Kyle has a balance, on-time delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He extends through his release and stays square to home plate with a controlled landing. Kyle rotates with his core towards his target as he finishes. He commands his fastball with tail action at 78-80 MPH. He also locations his curveball with medium break. Overall, Kyle is a well-rounded prospect with talent and upside on both sides of the ball giving him a bright future on the diamond.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kyle is a talented SS/RHP prospect who is well-built and graduates in 2019. In the field, Kyle plays with fluid, active footwork and takes the correct angles to cover good ground. He presents his glove and fields the ball athletically in a low, square position. Kyle receives the ball with soft hands and he has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with momentum through his release and has consistent accuracy with his throws. Offensively, Kyle has a square setup with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride as his lower half leads his swing. He has an on-plane swing path producing square contact. Kyle uses his lower half and he can spray the ball to all fields. On the mound, Kyle has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing with a clean arm action from a low 3/4 slot. He stays square to home plate with a controlled landing as he rotate with his core towards his target. Kyle pitches with good rhythm and competes. He features a fastball, curveball, and changeup. Overall, Kyle has a bright future on the diamond and the ability to impact a program in multiple areas of the game.

12/27/2016 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Kyle is a strongly-built SS/RHP prospect who is willing to do whatever it takes to get better. He shows athletic actions at short, fielding the ball cleanly and smoothly to make all the plays, the hallmark of a good middle infielder. He has quick feet and takes efficient angles to the ball to extend his range, fielding low and playing through. His hands are soft and has a clean exchange while gaining momentum to his target to throw accurately and keep runners off the bases. On the bump, he pitches aggressively, trying to work ahead in the count with his tailing fastball. His delivery is repeatable with sound mechanics as he picks up his target early and drives to the plate with a strong lower half, keeping the ball low in the zone. Staying directional to the plate in his finish will lead to better command moving forward. At the dish, he shows gap to gap tendencies with a square stride and direct path to the ball. His strong wrists generate fast bat speed and he makes consistent, square contact, finishing on a firm front side. Kyle's blend of tools and gamer mentality make him an exciting prospect for the next level.

06/25/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Few players show the coachability, and love for the game that Kyle does. A two way player, Kyle in the field shows all the traits of a solid defensive second baseman. Starting with his active footwork and ability to work through all types of groundballs, Kyle gets himself into good position to field anything within his plus lateral range. On the mound, Kyle is a true battler, constantly being aggressive and pitching ahead in the count. Repeating his easy delivery, showing good balance, rhythm, stride and finish allows Kyle to use his fastball and curveball early and often in the count to throw effective strikes. Last but certainly not least, as a hitter he uses his short/compact swing, through a great setup and an on time load, to drive the ball to the opposite field. Kyle, while an underclassman, acts and plays like a seasoned veteran. He will be very exciting to track as he progresses in baseball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
