12/27/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Gambrills, MD Kyle continues to impress on the diamond and did so again at his latest workout. At the plate, this switch hitter swings it well from both sides with a little more power as a RHH. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the zone as he squares the ball up and generates pop off of his barrel, spraying it from gap-to-gap. Behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions and good sway. Quick lateral movements allow him to get around pitches in the dirt and center/deaden the ball in front. Transfer is quick with throws on a line, pop times now at 2.07. Tatlebaum is a very talented athlete who has a high ceiling.

11/22/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Gambrills, MD Kyle is a lean C/3B who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.10 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, feet are active as he attack balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and present well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increase foot quickness. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Kyle has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
