02/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Savannah, GA Kyler is a young, athletic, 2-way player who pitches and catches. On the mound, Kyler has good balance, a loose/free arm action, and he works in good tempo. He separates on-time, lands in a square position, and rotates through toward his target. Behind the plate, Kyler has active/efficient footwork, he tracks the ball well, and has a clean exchange. Kyler throws to 2nd base with accuracy from a short arm action. Offensively, Kyler has a square set-up, a short stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He is an aggressive hitter with a level swing plane and fast bat speed. Kyler can get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
