08/16/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Dickinson, ND Kyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did improve his foot speed at the event as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.39 runner. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

08/18/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Dickinson, ND Kyler ran his best 60 to date at 8.28 seconds and raised arm velocity to 69 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. At SS, Kyler has athletic actions, active feet, and he fields in a square position. He has a presentable glove, he reads the hops well, and throws with a quick release and momentum to is target. Offensively, Kyler stands in tall, he loads well, and has quick hands. He gets good extension through and works the ball to the opposite field. Solid skills can get better with work on the following.

Infield
1. Arm strength/accuracy
2. 2 hands
Offense
1. Swing path
2. Lower body

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Kyler is an athletic and talented 2024 SS prospect that worked hard worked that truly believed in the though process of get better every day. At SS, Kyler is on time with his pre-pitch movement, he presents a low/early glove, and has a quick first step to the ball. He plays through the backhand and shows range on both side of the ball. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Kyler starts in a squared stance, loads his hands back into the launch position, and hits off a firm front side. His approach at the plate is solid, he's aggressive on the fastball and has good pitch recognition. He showed this by going 4 for 6 with 2 walks. Kyler has a high baseball IQ and continuing to get bigger, faster, and stronger will make the sky the limit for this player. We hope to see his progress in the future.

04/08/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Billings, MT Kyler is a lean, scrappy SS with good skills. Defensively, Kyler has active feet, soft hands, and he fields in a square/athletic position. He has a quick 1st step, he fields cleanly, and throws with accuracy and momentum toward his target from a loose arm action. Offensively, Kyler has a square set-up, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. He has good balance, makes hard/consistent contact, and gets good extension through the ball. Kyler can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Infield
1. Long toss
2. Play more through
Offense
1. Avoid diving in stride
2. Lower body

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
