07/11/2017 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Lamar has a projectable frame and plays the outfield in the 2020 class. At the plate, he stands with a tall setup and showcases fast twitch movements which creates quick bat speed. Working to use his lower half more will allow him to drive balls and create power. In the outfield, Lamar is a go-getter as he attacks balls aggressively. He uses a fluid exchange to deliver clean, accurate throws from the outfield. Increasing his reps and gaining strength will improve his footwork and arm strength. With plenty of time to develop, and a lengthy frame, Lamar will be a fun player to follow in the coming years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
