10/13/2021 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Landen is a 2025 SS/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the Arizona Freshman Fall Classic. In the field, he shows efficient footwork and good lateral range. He works to center the baseball and showed ability to pick out hops. Made accurate throws with good carry and an arm velocity up to 82mph. Landen has a great attitude and plays with good effort/energy. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with a comfortable hand set. Activates his lower 1/2 in his load and has center balance. A flat barrel path enables him to hit line drives consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. During the games, he reached base 7 times with 4 singles, 2 base on balls, and reached on an error. On the mound, he works fast and competes on the mound. He gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He throws a FB that sits 72-76mph, a breaking ball with 11/5 shape, and a splitter with some arm side run. In 6 innings of work, Landen struck out 5 hitters and only allowed 3 hits. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.
