07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Landon continues to shine on the diamond with his baseball abilities. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/07/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Billings, MT Landon is a tall, thin, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and OF. In the INF, Landon has active feet, a good 1st step to the ball, and he centers well on his body. He makes plays consistently, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency and momentum from a quick arm action to his target. In the OF, Landon has a presentable glove, active feet, and he takes good angles to the ball. He goes back on it well, has a clean exchange, and throws with momentum and a loose arm action to his target. Offensively, Landon has a tall set-up, some bat speed, and he can spray to all fields. He will need to work on the following in order for skills to improve.

Infield
1. Fielding position
2. Play/stay low
Outfield
1. Arm strength
Offense
1. Lower body
2. Load/stride
3. Swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
