01/27/2024 - National Showcase - Bothell (Seattle), WA Landon is a 2026 C prospect with an athletic frame at 6'1" 190 pounds. Behind the dish, he gets in a good setup and shows off active feet. He works hard to give a good target and receive with firm hands. He tracks the ball well. He makes accurate throws with strength online to his targets. He does a great job on balls in the dirt, doing well to get a good down angle with his chest and tucking his chin. At the plate, he starts in a squared, athletic stance and has an on-time stride with a good load. He shows off smooth movements to the baseball and does a great job of keeping his balance centered through contact. His lower half works through the baseball, and he shows off explosive bat speed with a direct swing path to the ball. He lets his hips explode through contact and finishes strong. He makes loud contact and flashes gap to gap power with some pop to the pull side. He also gets great backspin on the baseball, really flashing the ability to drive the ball. Overall, Landon is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing more of in the future!

10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Landon is an athletic 6ft 1/190 C/1B in the 2026 class out of Seattle, WA who is coachable, works hard, hustles, and is a team player. Behind the plate, he is a plus receiver and blocking catcher. Shows a soft and relaxed feel and stays quiet. Keeps his eyes behind the baseball and the ball sticks to his pocket. Is solid with his blocking technique and is quick to recover. He gains ground on his throws and can get rid of the baseball well. Registered at 2.32 pop and with further strength, he can obtain a 2.0 with his skill set. At the plate, he displays strong power and can drive the baseball to the gaps. Showed well in the games with 3 hits (2 2B’s) in 8 plate appearances. Keeps his swing simple and repeatable and working on further extension will help backspin the baseball more. Overall, Landon is a must follow in the 2026 class.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
