11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS) Landon is a 2024 1B who showcased his skills during the Fall Prospects Tournament. At 1B, he is a big target who showed ability to scoop balls with sure hands that work out front. He worked to center the baseball as he fields from an athletic fielding position and has a clean transfer. He made accurate throws to second base, with a loose arm stroke, and has good life on his ball. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance with comfortable hands. Does a good job of rotating his lower half and showed good barrel control. He showed pull side pop with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph during his round of BP. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Landon enters his junior baseball season.

12/29/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bossier City (Shreveport), LA Landon is a 1B who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame lean build with strength present and room to add throughout. At 1B, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine, with efficient footwork, and ability to cover ground in all directions. He fields from a square fielding position with his hands out front. He has a clean transfer and creates good momentum to his target. Has a loose arm stroke in the back as he works into a 3/4 arm slot. Made on-line throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 76mph. Good bag awareness. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance. Quiet head and eyes enable him to track pitches well. Rotates lower half as he hit balls to the opposite field with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Landon making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
