Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

01/23/2022 - All-In Membership - Missouri City (Houston), TX Landon is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. In the OF, showed good 1st reads, with active footwork, and ability to cover ground in all directions. Aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles as he works behind/through the ball. Showed ability to flip his hips and go get balls with a high 1 hand catch. A clean exchange as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with accurate/on-line throws into infield up to 72mph. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher gathers over rubber and rotates to target with proper stride length. Showed good spin on his breaking ball and good command on his changeup. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 65-67mph, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with some movement that he throws with FB arm speed. A right-handed hitter, starts with a tall and even stance. Starts with smooth actions, with a small hand load, and has good feel for the barrel. Made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
