Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • SS/RHPPosition Projection

12/27/2021 - All-In Membership - Bridge City, TX Landon is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build with strength present and room to add. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.88 seconds. At SS, starts with good pre-pitch routine, with athletic actions, and ability to get balls in every direction. He creates good fielding angles and fields from an athletic fielding position. Has a short/loose arm stroke with ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Made on-line throws consistently, with good momentum to target, and an arm velocity up to 81mph. Showed touch on his DP flip and follows. On the mound, he starts with a clean leg lift and rotates to his target. Has a controlled landing and is square to target. He throws a FB that sits 74-75mph with some movement, a breaking ball with 10/4 shape and good depth, a slider he throws from same window as CB, and a developing changeup with some arm side run. At the plate, he starts with an athletic and open stance. Fluid timing to swing, with activated hands, and keeps his hands inside the baseball. Gets his back hip through the swing with good extension out front. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph. With 2 more years of growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
