09/25/2024 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2025) Landon is a talented first baseman and left-handed pitcher from Stormville, NY, who will graduate in 2025, who showcased his impressive skills at the Arizona Senior Fall Classic. In the field, he demonstrates a low fielding position with excellent glove angle, utilizing a low funnel and a short arm stroke for precise, online throws to all bases. On the mound, he features a small rocker step that allows him to separate his hands on time, maintaining proper stride length while pitching effectively ahead in the count. His arsenal includes a fastball that he throws for strikes, a curveball with medium depth, and a changeup delivered with fastball arm speed. Over five innings, he struck out three batters and achieved a strong 58% strike rate. At the plate, he starts with a small load, keeping his weight centered for powerful hard line drives to all fields, boasting a barrel exit velocity of 89 mph. During the games, he reached base multiple times, including a single with an RBI. With another season of growth and development, he is poised to excel in all aspects of his game.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Landon is a solid 1B/LHP in the 2025 class out of Stormville, NY . Defensively, he plays on the balls of his feet and shows active footwork. Gains a quick 1st step and has a low to the ground fielding position. Fields out in front and has a quick exchange. Displays a quick release with accuracy. Works well around the bag and has a great feel for the position. On the mound, he shows a great feel for pitching with good control and can put hitters away. His FB generates movement at 76-8 and can locate to both side of the plate. CB shaped at 1-7 at 69-70. Working to develop a CH will be a major asset to his pitch mix. At the plate, he is aggressive while showing excellent strike zone awareness. Begins in a crouched stance with comfortable hands. Has a short stride and stays inside his feet. Landon shows line drive power to all fields. Overall, Landon is a solid two-way prospect in the 2025 class with a bright future.

06/29/2023 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Landon is a 2025 1B/LHP out of Stormville, NY who continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities and did so at the Cape Cod event. At the plate is where he shows best through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At 1B, he shows smooth/fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 80 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-80 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

06/12/2023 - National Showcase - Troy (Albany), NY Landon is a 1B/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add more strength throughout. At 1B he shows smooth actions, with fluid footwork, and has good body control at the baseball. Creates good angles laterally and fields out front with soft hands. He fields from a low fielding position and has a low funnel. Creates momentum on his accurate throws with an arm velocity up to 80mph. Showed good footwork around bag. On the mound he works with good tempo and throws all of his pitches for strikes. Has a simple and repeatable delivery. Throws a FB that sits 76-79mph with arm side run, a 2/8 shaped breaking ball that he throws for strikes in any count, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance. Good base and setup to start and gets knob to C. There is intent in his swing and has a fast barrel through the hitting zone. During his round of BP, he squared up baseballs to the pull side. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Landon having opportunities to play at the next level.

02/19/2023 - National Showcase - Bronx, NY Landon is an athletic 1B/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are excellent with outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At 1B, defensive abilities are well above average as he shows smooth/fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents well out front. He utilizes foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 74-75 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. With 2 1/2 years to further develop, Landon has a high skill set and will get looks from collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
