01/23/2022 - All-In Membership - San Jose, CA Landon is a pure catch and throw backstop who also will make an impact with the bat. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off a soft chest. Runners will not want to test his cannon for an arm (83 mph) with impressive pop times of 1.98. Offensively, he continues to shine with outstanding hitting abilities with excellent power potential through an athletic setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion (88 mph exit velocity) with the ball screaming off his barrel. Landon is a prospect that has a skill set that will play at a very high level.

01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Landon is a C prospect who showcased his skills during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Behind the dish, Landon shows efficient footwork and covers up well when blocking. He tracks the ball into his glove and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate/on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is controlled getting into his load and whips the bat through the zone, spraying the ball to all fields. Overall, Landon is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/23/2021 - Fall Pro Training Experience - Nor Cal (HS) Landon is a class of 2023 catcher. Behind the plate, he showed good footwork and plus arm strength. He has a good ability to control the run game and had pop times as low as 2.08 seconds. He did a good job blocking and showed quickness and good pitch recognition. He received well and was able to show quiet actions. At the plate, he showed the ability to hit well from the right side of the plate. He has a good approach with a middle of the field focus. He did a good job using his lower ½ from both sides of the plate. In game action he was able to find barrels often and got on base multiple times including a triple. Landon is a well-rounded athletic catcher and we hope to see him again as he continues to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
