03/16/2014 - National Tryout - Kenosha, WI
Levi continues to be an outstanding competitor and an athletic (6'1/170lbs) outfielder. In the outfield, he shows active feet with good actions while making the routine plays. He has to return to fielding the ball out in front of his body which will help him to have a loose arm action with accuracy to his target. At the plate, Levi has a good square setup and continues to have a balanced base with good rhythm and timing. His swing path has improved by being short to contact and getting his top hand through the hitting zone. Letting the ball travel on outside pitches will allow more pop off of the barrel to the right field gap.
08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2
Levi is a thin, athletic, two-way player who will graduate in 2015. In the OF, Levi has active feet, agile movements, and he fields in a low position out in front of his body. He reads the ball off the bat well, makes plays consistently, and he throws with a loose arm action with accuracy to his target. More sure hands, a better crow hop, and added arm strength will help abilities in the OF improve. On the mound, Levi keeps his eyes on target, he works to his balance point well, and he has good direction towards home. He lands in a square position and competes in the zone with his pitches. Levi will need to loosen his arm action, finish in a better position, and add arm strength for mound effectiveness to improve. Offensively, Levi has a balanced approach, a square setup, and his swing path is level. He swings in good rhythm, he can spray to all fields, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Hitting can improve with a shorter swing, a better load, and better timing.
