Official Scouting Report

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Levi showed well as a sophomore SS in his latest Baseball Factory outing. Defensively, he had good body control and made plays with an accurate arm. Presenting his glove and working on his first step quickness will add to play ability. With the bat, he has a level path and good balance. He showed pop in his bat when centered and began to have a more aggressive approach - getting his pitch. In all - Levi is a good, young player that has three more high school seasons to hone his skills for the next level.

07/09/2013 - College PREP - Minnetonka (Minneapolis), MN Levi is a tall, lanky SS that will graduate in 2016. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.86 60 time. Feet are active as he attacks ground balls and moves well laterally, displaying range in the MIF. Hands are soft / clean but needs to present more out front to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Falck shows a balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. For hitting / power numbers to continue to improve, he needs to work on squaring up stride and getting foot down sooner to work on time. With 3 years to further develop, Levi has a big upside and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
