08/05/2024 - National Showcase - Fremont (San Jose), CA Liam is a rising senior who plays SS/RHP from Granite Bay, CA. Medium frame athletic build who ran a 6.91 60-yard dash. Shows quick feet and closes distance on batted balls at shortstop. Fields from a low fielding position and has a low funnel. Has a quick release and good carry on his balls across diamond with an arm velocity up to 92mph. At the plate he shows fluid timing and is centered at contact. Quick hands with ability to keep his hands inside the baseball. Has a direct barrel path with explosive bat speed and a bat exit velocity up to 93mph during his round of BP. On the mound he does a good job of using his lower half and lands square to his target. Has a quick arm stroke and pounds the strike zone with all 3 of his pitches. FB is his best pitch and it topped out at 85mph. Liam should have opportunities to play at the next level with continued development.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
