07/18/2016 - College PREP - Rindge, NH Liam has improved his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active and aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles. He works to get behind the ball and plays through with momentum to his target. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a direct/level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball utilizing all fields, displaying gap to gap pop.

07/29/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Liam displayed strengths defensively and offensively at the Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City. In the OF, he worked to get behind the baseball and field with a soft/sure glove. He took good routes/angles to make the plays and threw with accuracy. In drill work and individual defense, Liam worked to use his legs more aggressively through the baseball to help his arm play. Offensively, he had a balanced setup and tracked the baseball well to contact. He kept his head down to hit and displayed pull side pop. There is more untapped power in his lower half and he will continue to strengthen his hit ability as he focuses on staying on the balls of his feet to hit off a stiff front side. In all - Liam is an intriguing cold weather follow that collected a single, a pair of doubles, and a triple.

06/30/2015 - College PREP - Rindge, NH Liam is an impressive 6'2/180 lbs OF that works well on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he hit to all fields on a line-drive plane and drove with his lower half. He had a good tempo/pace to his swing and rotated his core to accelerate the barrel through the zone. Increased consistency with his fluidity will help his overall feel to hit. Defensively, he was efficient moving to the baseball with good body control and made plays with a sure glove. He worked behind the baseball and threw with good momentum to his targets. Boosting lateral quickness and adding a long toss program will enhance range and arm strength. In all - Liam is a promising player with good tools and a projectable frame.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
