12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Lincoln is a 2026 OF/RHP out of Palatine, IL who continues to impress with his baseball abilities and did so at the Pirate City Christmas Camp & Tournament. In the OF, feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. Glove action is firm and presents out front. He attacks balls and plays through with his body. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, power potential is well above average through a squared setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work on plane to the ball. He has strength and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. At the event, he was a perfect 4 for 4 with a 2B and 3B. On the mound, he works only out of the stretch. Fastball shows a range of 75-76 mph with good arm side run and late life. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is a plus as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. He is poised and shows a good mound presence. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Elgin (Chicago), IL Lincoln is an athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting/power potential through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 69-72 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. With 3 1/2 years to further develop, Lincoln has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
