06/22/2013 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Lindsey is a young MIF that will graduate in 2016. He utilizes his athletic feet well in attacking ground balls and playing through well, displaying soft / clean hands. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to improve foot quickness and present hands more out front. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Robinson shows a balanced approach and loads well. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 3 for 10 with 2 2B. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 78-79 mph. He did not show any off speed pitches at the event. Stock on the mound will rise as more arm strength is gained and he works to throw more strikes. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable. With three years to further develop, Lindsey has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
