09/19/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Allen featured a usable three-pitch mix and an advanced feel for pitching. He commanded his fastball to both sides of the plate, and pitched in the 84-85 mph range with a top of 86. He used his breaking ball against both left and right-handed batters, and showed the ability to land it for strikes and to bury it for outs. His change was thrown with fastball arm speed, and was also effective against against both left and right-handed batters. Through two innings of work, he consistently kept hitters off balance and allowed very few good swings. In his second inning, he struck out each of the five hitters he faced. Overall, his FB command and feel for pitching are among the best in the 2017 class.
