Official Scouting Report

07/07/2014 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Logan showed some of his best ability to date at his most recent Baseball Factory outing. On the mound, he hit 80 with his fastball and spun his CB with 10/5 shape and gradual action. He also flashed a CH at 68-70 mph. He has good presence on the bump with his size, and works on a downhill plane. Mechanically, he could become more directional and drive with his lower half for added velo. Offensively, he had excellent balance and got his hands activated to hit. He has a level path and had decent barrel accuracy. Staying direct with the barrel and using his lower half will increase bat speed and pop. In all - Logan has another year to add strength on the bump for next level play.

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Logan showed well on the mound during his time in Pirate City. He has a tall frame, good direction toward home, and he pounds the zone with strikes. He works quickly, and holds runners on base well. At 1st base, Logan makes plays, he moves well around the bag, and his exchange is clean with accuracy to his target. At the plate, Logan showed an athletic set-up, good balance, and a level swing path. He has a good eye for the zone and gets solid extension through the ball. Overall - Logan is a very coachable player that can fits the mold as a pitcher at the next level.

07/15/2013 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Logan is a tall, lean RHP that will graduate in 2015. Delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his quick arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 77-79 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a plus feel for with arm side run. Command / control are a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
