01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Logan continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with a soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed a range of 2.20-2.30 with accuracy/carry on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the ball quicker. At the plate, he shows an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. At the plate, he was 2 for 4.

12/12/2020 - Texas Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend Logan is a C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Texas Regional Skills Weekend. Behind the plate, Logan sits in a low stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with comfortable hands. He is fluid to load and hits against a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball with fast bat speed, leading to solid gap to gap pop. Overall, Logan is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/18/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Tomball (Houston), TX Logan is an athletic C/2B prospect who has tremendous raw power at the plate (91mph exit velo). Offensively, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. He stays direct to the ball with fast bat speed and good extension, leading to loud contact and strong line drives. Behind the dish, Logan is agile moving to block and smothers dirt balls. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with a quiet glove. His exchange is smooth and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through the 2B bag. At 2B, Logan shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He fields the ball out in front of his body and gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate, on-line throws to his target. Overall, Logan is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
