03/26/2017 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Logan showed in the OF and behind the plate as a catcher for the first time at the event. At the plate is where he continues to show best through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing, displaying gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He is aggressive, works to get behind balls, and plays through with momentum to his target. Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed a range of 2.12-2.15. Hands are soft as he lets the ball travel and tracks well, sticking in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to get body down sooner to improve blocking grade.

12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Logan has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 3 for 9 with a 3B. At 2B, he continues to shine, showing smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and he displays a soft / sure glove but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a great teammate. He has a solid feel for the game and is a competitor on the field.

10/19/2016 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Logan is a hardworking 2B/OF prospect who has good potential. In the field, Logan plays with quick, fluid footwork and agile actions giving him above average range. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a square, low position. Logan has a quick, clean exchange leading into a short arm action from a high 3/4 slot. He has a quick release and his throws are online with carry. Offensively, Logan has a solid approach beginning with a square stance and short stride. He has a long swing and late timing. Logan has a contact approach and can improve his consistency with more fluid rhythm. Logan has upside with strong tools as he continues to develop his overall game on the field.

07/13/2016 - College PREP - Washington, DC Logan is a lean OF/2B who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.21. At the plate, he displays outstanding hitting mechanics and power potential. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and keeps his hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. At 2B, defensive abilities are outstanding, displaying smooth, fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up and plays through well. Glove action is soft and sure as he presents his hands on time. In the OF, defensive abilities are also well above average as he takes proper routes and angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Hands and feet work well together with accuracy and on line carry to his throws. With 2 years to further develop, Logan has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
