07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and he presents on time and out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 69 mph. Fastball showed a range of 65-69 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Logan is a hardworking 1B/LHP prospect who has a versatile skill set. As a left-handed hitter, Logan has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance and firm front side. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and short, square stride. Logan shows explosive bat speed with a direct, on-plane swing path. He keeps his hand behind his barrel and consistently producing hard, square contact. Logan has an aggressive approach and can drive the ball with power. In the field, Logan presents his glove and plays with effective footwork. He fields the ball in a square position and does a nice job funneling with his hands. Logan has a clean exchange and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the ball showing accurate, strong throws across the diamond. On the mound, Logan has a balanced, on-time delivery. He has a clean arm action and extends through his release. Logan has an effective front side and stays square to home plate. He has a controlled landing and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Overall, Logan is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to get even better.

11/26/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Shreveport, LA Logan is a 1B/LHP who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at 1B, he hustles well into a square fielding position on GB's. He shows good awareness around the 1B bag and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. On the hill, this lefty has an intimidating presence. He delivers a 3-pitch mix from a hi 3/4 arm slot and looks to fill up the zone with strikes. As a hitter, Logan presents an athletic setup with smooth rhythm to load. He swings on-plane through the zone and drives pitches with power back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Quick footwork
2. Develop soft hands
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Pitching
1. Get to a balance point
2. Loosen arm action
3. Pound zone with strikes
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
