06/20/2015 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Logan is a hard worked who showed well during his time in Omaha. Foot speed has improved as he ran his 60 yard dash in 7.45. At 3B, he shows active prep footwork moving well on the balls of his feet. He funnels the ball smoothly, gains ground in-line toward 1B with accurate throws across the diamond. With the bat, this RHH has a balanced setup with rhythm in his hands. Swing is quick as he connects and hits the ball where it's pitched, spraying it to all parts of the field. Working to engage his lower 1/2 more will result in increased pop off the barrel. Logan has a solid all-around skill set and should find success as he approaches his senior year.

12/27/2014 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Logan continues to show well on the diamond. He is a gamer who battles adversity well. At the hot corner, he works into a low/athletic fielding position working from the ground-up. He moves well laterally and can make the backhand play smoothly with a quick/clean exchange to throw. With the bat, he shows a balanced approach with patience. Barrel delivery is short/quick on a direct path as he hits against a firm front side. He has good zone awareness proven by drawing 5 walks at the event. Logan brings a 'can do' attitude to the field which rubs off of his teammates.

08/01/2014 - National Tryout - Tulsa, OK Logan showed some improvements in his game during his workout in Tulsa. Defensively, Logan has good pre-pitch actions, he squares up well to the ball, and he plays through. He shows decent body control and an accurate arm to his to his target. Offensively, Logan has has good pop in his bat through a square stance, and good timing. He stays inside the ball, gets good extension, and squares the ball up well on the barrel.

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Pirate City During his time at Pirate City Logan worked hard on his game. Defensively, he actively works around the ball and fields the ball with soft hands. He plays through the ball well, working from right to left and in-line toward 1B. Increased arm strength will aid in his play at the hot corner. At the dish, this righty he shows an open setup and strides into the pitch. He hits the ball where it's pitch and squares it up consistently. A contact type hitter, he is a top of the line-up type of guy. Logan has skills and is a few adjustments away from unlocking his potential.

12/15/2013 - College PREP - Tulsa, OK Logan is a 2016 3B/C that has a 5'9"/145 lbs frame. With the bat, he hits to all fields and has an athletic set-up. He showed a direct, level barrel and was accurate to contact. Behind the dish, he showed raw ability with pop times around 2.4 seconds. His feet need to become more fluid - especially to help his throwing mechanics. At third, he squares balls up and works through backhands. His hands showed to be soft and he made routine plays, but needs to work hands further in front and he needs to strengthen his arm. In all - Duncan is a young player that currently projects best at 3B.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
