08/11/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Trenton, NJ Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.25 runner. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body during the blocking process centering balls out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in the 2.10 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays fluid, smooth actions. He attacks balls with his feet and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers ground. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. He is aggressive as he attacks balls through a level swing path. Hands are quick and he makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.06. Throws display accuracy with times continuing to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are firm, sticking in the zone but will benefit by softening glove and letting ball travel. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

11/16/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Logan is a very talented and athletic 2023 C/SS prospect. Logan made several adjustments over the weekend, particularly behind the plate. He was awarded the camp MVP for his hard work and leadership skills at Pirate City. Behind the dish, Logan has a clean exchange and showed good footwork to the bases. He controls the ball with his chest on blocks and moves laterally well. Logan needs to present a lower target with a loose wrist in his primary and secondary. Continuing to do this will allow him to work behind the ball and manipulate the strike zone. At the plate, Logan has an athletic stance, and an aggressive approach. He uses his lower half and makes hard contact on the ball. Continuing to hit off a strong front side, and staying behind the ball will allow him to hit to all fields. Attacking the inside part of the ball will keep his barrel on plane. Logan will continue to Improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/23/2017 - FDI Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (12-14) Logan is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square, athletic stance and takes a square stride. He takes a level swing through the zone and produces square contact to all fields. Logan can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With six more years to develop, Logan has the time and potential to further progress his skills at the plate.

07/10/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Logan is a SS/C who will graduate in 2021. Defensively at SS, he takes active angles and gets into a square fielding position on GB's. He fields the ball with soft hands and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. Behind the plate, he displays a low/athletic setup. He sticks pitches with a soft glove and fires throws accurately down to 2B. Offensively with the bat, Logan shows smooth rhythm to load. He stays balanced through contact as he sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Lateral quickness
2. Quicker release
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Catching
1. Quicker footwork
2. Center to block
3. Earn more strikes
Offense
1. Improve bat speed
2. Lower 1/2 drive
2. Level out swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
