11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Nashville, TN Logan continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now 6.78 60time. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well. Pop times showed in the 2.20 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth, athletic actions. Feet are quick and aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting / power potential are now outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Logan continues to show shine on the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with a 2B. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.26 range at this event (though we have seen him at a 2.1 previously) and they will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner to center out front.

11/12/2020 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City Logan continues to shine on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.30 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. He shows a solid setup, sticks balls in the zone and utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with 2 2B. Once on base, he is an aggressive base runner as he stole 2 bases and has good instincts. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, is very coachable, and plays with high energy. He showed good leadership traits on the field.

08/23/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Nashville, TN Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities every time we see him. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body during the blocking process centering balls out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.30 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At SS, he displays proper footwork and plays through a low approach. He attacks balls with his feet and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he continues to shine, through an athletic setup. He is aggressive as he attacks balls through a level swing path. Hands are quick, stays inside the ball, and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the dish, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.53. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the ball quicker. He shows a solid setup and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter but projects best from the right side where he has improved. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a solid team player.

05/26/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Logan performed well and showed improvements in multiple areas since we last saw him. He shows aggressive actions at shortstop and has a comfortable and athletic way about him. Arm will improve as he learns to raise his arm slot to get better carry on the ball. As a catcher, receiving skills are strong and he shows quick actions behind the plate. Refining his blocking will help his defensive grade behind the plate improve. This was the best we have seen Logan hit as well. Very nice set up and rhythm with good finish. Good lower half as well. Logan's athletic numbers continue to improve as well each time we see him. He plays the game hard and wants to get better, and it shows.

06/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Logan is an athletic, switch-hitting C/SS. 60-time has improved from last events, jumping from a 9.2 to an 8.79. Behind the plate, Logan shows quick feet and agile range that allow him to make hard-to-reach plays and block difficult pitches in the dirt. He shows an athletic fielding position and soft hands that stick pitches well. He makes fast, clean exchanges into a high 3/4 arm slot and makes consistently accurate throws through a quick release. Logan knows the correct hop to second base as he keeps throws low and on target. Logan can improve defensively by keeping his glove down on blocks and improving arm strength through a throwing progression. At the plate, Logan shows very good mechanics through a line drive approach. He displays an open set up with a short stride, a good load and fluid rhythm. Balance is center as he keeps his lower half through throughout his swing and shows a direct swing path as he makes consistent contact with the ball. Logan shows great intangibles on the field by being coachable, showing a good aptitude for the game and hustling everywhere.

05/27/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Logan is a young, 2-way player who catches and plays SS. Behind the plate, Logan has playable hands and feet, he tracks well, and tries to keep it in front when blocking. He has a clean exchange, and a long arm action with some accuracy to 2nd base. At SS, Logan is aggressive to the ball, he fields in a square position, and throws with accuracy and momentum across the diamond. Offensively, Logan is a better hitter from the right side. He has a balanced set-up, a direct barrel to the ball, and he makes consistent contact. From the left side, Logan has a level swing plane, an opposite field approach, and he uses some lower body. Logan can improve skills with work on the following.

08/03/2017 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Logan is a hardworking SS/OF prospect who has a well-rounded skill set and graduates in 2023. In the field, Logan has a good approach and fields the ball in a low position. He glove is late to the ball and he is developing a quicker exchange. Logan throws from an over the top arm slot. His throws are accurate across the diamond and he is building arm strength. As a switch-handed hitter, Logan has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance. He takes a load with fluid rhythm and a square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Logan has a direct, on-plane swing path landing the barrel to the baseball. He is a contact type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. Overall, Logan is a versatile prospect who plays the game the right way giving him upside to advance his skills.

05/28/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Logan is (4'7''/80) SS/OF. Defensively at SS, feet are active as he comes and gets the GB. He fields the ball in an athletic position with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. In the OF, he isn't afraid to get dirty as he hustles on every play. He moves well laterally and comes up with a clean transfer. With the bat, Logan shows a balanced setup with a fluid rhythm. He drives his lower 1/2 through and creates constant contact with each pitch. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
