05/28/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Logan's loud tools were on display again at the BF South Showcase. He is a quick-twitch athlete who ran a 6.68 in the 60 and used that speed to close on balls in the OF. He also has a strong, accurate arm (90 mph raw velocity) that allows him to play all 3 OF spots at a high level. As a hitter, Logan is a natural old-school guy with no batting gloves and a rhythmic left-handed stroke. He has quick hands and uses the entire field well. The athleticism and natural swing mean there is upside in this young OF prospect.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Logan is an athletic and talented 2021 OF prospect. In the OF, Logan starts on the balls of his feet, he plays through ground balls, and he has a clean exchange. He works behind fly balls and he makes accurate throws. At the plate, Logan starts in an athletic stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and he gets his front foot down on time. He has fast hands, he rotates his backside, and he looks to drive the ball to all fields. Logan is highly motivated and we hope to see his progress in the future.

05/28/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Logan is an athletic OF prospect who will graduate in 2021. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and maintains center balance. He barrels up the baseball and produces solid line drives. Overall, Logan is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Logan is an athletic OF prospect who continued to showcase his skills at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Logan starts on the ball of his feet and gets into position on time. He fields with sure hands and makes a clean exchange. He throws with a loose arm and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. Overall, Logan is a solid prospect who should find success in this, his sophomore season.

08/16/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Logan is a LHH 2-way player as an OF/2B. With the bat, this lefty shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Swing is level on a direct path as he works to engage his lower 1/2 well. In the OF, Logan takes solid routes/angles to track down fly-balls. He works into position behind the ball, secures it with 2-hands and has a clean exchange to throw. At 2B, he has quick/active footwork and comes to get the GB. He presents his glove out in front and funnels smoothly. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Offense
1. Load
2. Rhythm/Timing
3. Extension through contact
Outfield
1. Arm strength (long toss)
2. Play through ball
3. Crow-hop / gain ground
Infield
1. Work around GB
2. Play through ball
3. DP feeds & turns

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
