11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Logan is an athletic and talented 2025 catching prospect that worked hard all week. Behind the dish, Logan showed leadership skills and wanted to get better. When receiving, he needs to continue to be in a quiet primary stance and work behind the ball. When throwing, he has a clean exchange, he has proper footwork, and makes accurate throws. When blocking, he needs to continue to lead with his glove and control the ball with his chest. At the plate, Logan is a switch hitter and has an athletic and open stance on both sides. From the right side he attacks the inside part of the ball and has a direct swing path. From the left side, he creates backside drive with his lower half, he keeps the barrel on plane, and uses the whole field. Logan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/21/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Fargo, ND Logan is a young, 2-way player who can switch hit. Behind the plate, Logan sits in well, he sticks the ball, and has a good chest angle when blocking. He presents his glove well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a long arm action to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 3.33 seconds. At SS, Logan has active feet, he fields athletically, and he presents his glove. He shows a good backhand, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and direction across the diamond. At the plate, Logan is currently a better hitter from the left side. He has a tall stance, good balance, and he gets good extension through the ball; hitting to all fields. From the right side, Logan has an open stance, a line drive approach, and he uses his lower body. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
