10/23/2019 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Logan is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the SoCal Classic. In the field, Logan takes a good first step and shows active footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting into a smooth load and remains centered with his lower half. He takes a smooth swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives to all fields. Overall, Logan is a talented prospect who has the skills set to contribute at the next level.

08/18/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Dickinson, ND Logan is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2020. In the field, Logan shows active footwork and flashes good range to his glove side. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Logan works with a free arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 60-64mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 64-66mph. Overall, Logan is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
