01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Logan Miller is an outstanding 2025 catching prospect out of Hiawatha, IA. Immediately noticeable is his ability to handle the bat and hit for power. An 84 mph exit velocity is extremely impressive for his age. His bat speed is explosive and he has the ability to use all fields. The upside at the plate combined with his catching ability is a plus for him. At the catching position he has great zone awareness and receives the ball well. The clean exchange keeps his pop time low and this will improve as he continues to grow into his frame and build arm strength. With 3 1/2 years to develop he will grow into a solid prospect as he continues to build on the current solid strengths that he shows.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Logan is a 2025 C/RHP prospect out of Hiawatha, IA who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. He's a hard worker who hustled during his time in Arizona. Primary C, who showed athletic actions and presents a low target. Has an on-time secondary stance, with a clean exchange, and is synched up on his throws to second base. Throws from a 3/4 release point, with strong throws, and an arm velocity up to 72mph with a best pop time of 2.25. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance with a high hand set. Showed strength in his swing with an explosive lower half. Hit hard line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. During the games, he reached base 7 times with 2 singles, 3 walks, and reached base on 2 errors. On the mound, he starts square on the rubber and has a small rocker step. He separates his hands on-time and keeps his shoulders in-line to target. In the games, he worked 2 innings and he showed a FB that sat 68-71mph with some movement, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. He struck out 1 batter and induced soft contact. Logan is a solid 2-way prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field with continued development.

12/05/2021 - All-In Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting/power potential is now excellent through an open setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage (84 mph exit velocity) with gap to gap pop. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt, tracks the ball well and sticks pitches in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.25. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Logan is a lean C/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer/exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.66-2.69 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he continues to build more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball showed a range of 67-69 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 5 years to further develop, Logan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
