09/04/2016 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY Logan is a RHP/3B prospect graduating in 2018 who continues to show improvements on the baseball field. On the mound, Logan throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job maintain eye contact on his target throughout his delivery. Complimenting his fastball, Logan also utilizes a deceptive changeup with run and a developing breaking ball. In the field, Logan works hard and makes all the routine plays. He has a clean exchange coupled with good arm strength to give him the ability to make difficult plays. Logan's arm shows carry online fitting his position. Offensively, Logan has an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He has good balance and uses his lower half effectively. Logan sprays the baseball to all fields and can improve his consistency with smoother rhythm. Logan is a developing prospect who has potential as he continues to mature.

11/06/2014 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Logan is a young and talented two way player that showcased on the mound and at 3B. On the mound he has good balance, a repeatable delivery, and a loose arm action. He throws his fastball for strikes and will be a nice option on the mound once he develops some secondary pitches. At 3B he is aggressive to the ball, he stays under control with his approach, and he makes strong accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively he has an open stance, uses his lower half well, and good bat speed for his age. He can spray the ball to all fields and he made solid contact during BP. Should be a nice option on the mound or in the field as he gets older.

06/30/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Troy (Albany), NY Logan is a skilled 2-way player as a RHP/3B. On the mound, he throws his FB from a high 3/4 arm slot as he keeps his eyes on the target. He has a repeatable delivery with his FB ranging from 63-64 mph. He works off the rubber, in-line toward the plate and finishes in a fielding position. Defensively at 3B, Logan is aggressive as he works into a square fielding position. He fields the ball cleanly and works in-line toward 1B. With the bat, this RHH shows a well balanced approach with a strong base. He swings on a level path and utilizes his lower 1/2 well. He connects and hits the ball where it's pitched, using the whole field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
