12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 2B, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

02/25/2018 - College PREP - West, TX Logan is a 2B prospect who will graduate in 2020. In the field, Logan shows quick footwork and is very agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields out in front with soft hands. He makes a quick, clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Logan can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to square contact and gap to gap pop. Logan can improve as a hitter by keeping his hands inside the ball. Overall, Logan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
