06/29/2023 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.31 runner. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through ha long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Manalapan, NJ Logan is a 2026 1B prospect with an athletic frame at 5'8" 155 pounds. At first, he features efficient feet and does a nice job of centering the ball up. He gets in a squared fielding position and presents hands out in front. He has good feel and awareness around the bag. His exchange is clean and he shows off a short arm action from a high 3/4 arm slot. He makes accurate throws across the diamond to his targets and works hard to follow his throws. At the plate, he starts in a tall, athletic stance with a good base. His load is controlled and he does a nice job of squaring his stride off to the pitcher. Shows a ton of intent while maintaining smooth rhythm and timing. His hands are fast and his bat stays on-plane through the baseball. He projects as a line drive hitter that squares the ball up consistently. Logan is an exciting prospect that should continue to develop very well over the next 3+ years of high school!

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Logan is a lean 1B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Range will improve as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows and open setup, Hands are loose and work through an uphill swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Works to get stride foot down sooner to be on time will aid in improving hitting abilities. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 4 years to further develop, Logan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
