Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • LHP/1BPosition Projection

03/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Logan is a 2022 1B/LHP. Tall frame, long levers, athletic build with plenty of room to grow. Secondary first baseman starts with a good pre-pitch routine with efficient footwork to ball. Ability to pick out hops and centers ball well with a low funnel. Accurate and online throws from multiple arm angles and an arm velocity of 77mph. Showed good bag awareness all day. Primary left-handed pitcher who starts with a 45-degree angle on rubber. Gets to a good balance point and gets out in front and drives down with clean mechanics. Commands three pitches and challenges hitters. Pounds the zone with his FB. FB has good run and was up to 73mph. Mixed in 1/7 shaped curveball with tight spin and good tilt. Flashed a changeup he throws with FB arm speed with good sink. Left-handed hitter, hits from an upright and even stance. Simple setup with good rhythm and smooth swing. Good lower half turn and he drove balls into both gaps during BP. Recorded a bat exit velocity of 75mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
