Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Logan is a tall/athletic 3B/RHP who can swing it with power. Offensively, this RHH starts in an open stance with active hands and fluid rhythm to load. He has an aggressive approach and steps into the box with a purpose looking to do some damage. The ball explodes off of his barrel to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 94 mph). Defensively, he showed great range at the corner position getting to GB's hit to his right and left. He funnels smoothly while making accurate throws with carry (76 mph) across the diamond. On the mound, this RHP toes the rubber with confidence and with sound mechanics. FB was 74-75 and CB had 11-5 shape with good break. He works the ball in and out and fills it up with a ton of strikes. Logan is a skilled prospect who has a ton of upside and will make an impact with the bat.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Logan continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and present well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 77-78 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/26/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Aberdeen (Seattle), WA Logan is an athletic 3B prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Logan shows active footwork and gets into a square fielding position. He fields with a firm glove and makes accurate, on-line throws to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Logan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and leads well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, producing great pull side power. Logan can improve as a hitter by maintaining center balance throughout his swing. Overall, Logan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
