07/11/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One South Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with the makings of a solid collegiate player. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.00 runner. At the plate, he continues to show best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating outstanding bat speed through a short / direct path. He makes consistent contact through a solid line drive approach, displaying gap to gap power. At 2B, he utilizes his quick feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range in the MIF. Hands are soft and sure as he makes the plays. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength and work to get rid of the baseball quickly to improve arm grade.

01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Logan continues to show solid abilities in the INF. Defensively, he presents his glove out in front and fields the ball cleanly. He works through the ground ball, moving right to left. Offensively, this lefty displays patience and good zone awareness as he waits for his pitch (he drew 3 walks at the event). Barrel delivery is short/quick with plus bat speed. A lefty who can put the ball in play consistently will fit at the top of a line-up. Only a 2016 grad - Logan will only continue to improve over the next few years.

07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Logan has really improved his baseball abilities, especially at the plate where hitting grades are now superior with well above average power through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating tremendous bat speed through a short, direct level swing path. Barrel accuracy is outstanding with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. At 2B, defensive abilities have improved, now showing well above average. Feet are quick, aggressive as he attacks ground balls, plays through and presents soft / sure hands well out front. He shows big play potential in the MIF. Throws are accurate as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable.

04/07/2013 - College PREP - Tallahassee, FL Logan is a talented prospect as he is only a freshman. This left-handed swinging 2B shows consistency at the plate through a simple/balance approach. His upper and lower 1/2 work well together as he has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Defensively at 2B, his aggressiveness allows him to get to balls hit to his right and left. He moves well around the ground ball and makes accurate throws to his target. As he grows at 2B he will need to quicken his exchange (which will benefit him turning DP's). Logan has an exciting future in the game with his abilities on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
